They explained the customs such as the Kosher food laws of Orthodox Judaism and answered quirky questions about Jewish culture!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The students found this an invaluable learning experience. The opportunity to see first hand how beliefs and values can shape someones life, as well as being able to understand the difference between those who identity themselves as Orthodox or Secular in Jewish community, will only help the student&#8217;s understanding of the religion faith and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About Rabbi Alex Drucker<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Education and Programme Director, Ohel Leah Synagague Hong Kong<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alex Drucker is the Education and Program Director for the Ohel Leah Synagogue in Hong Kong. He is responsible for the religious instruction and education of the Synagogue&#8217;s 600 members as well as teaching around Hong Kong on various topics related to religion, Philosophy and Judaism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>?About ?Mr Ben Freeman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Director of Education, Hong Kong Holocaust &amp; Tolerance Centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2012, Ben Freeman, HKHTC&#8217;s Director of Education, founded From Yesterday For Tomorrow, an International no?t-for?-profit dedicated to working with High Schools to combat all kinds of prejudice. He has been working in informal, anti-prejudice education for over 10 years, with particular focus on the Holocaust. During his Masters degree in Political Science at the University of Glasgow, he worked for a national Jewish charity as a youth worker where he honed his skills in leadership and the creation of educational resources. He has led several trips to Poland, educating young people at the sites of the Nazi&#8217;s worst crimes.
