The original Long Ducker takes place along one of John Lyon\u2019s roads, the Harrow Road from Marble Arch in central London to Harrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Harrow Hong Kong \u2018twist\u2019 is held along a 15.5km route on the MacLehose trail that runs immediately behind the School campus, with an alternative shorter route that allows participation of pupils and their families from the youngest in Early Years to the oldest in Year 13, both walking and running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2018 event, which will be the sixth edition co-organised between the School and its parents\u2019 association <em>Friends of Harrow<\/em>, will also have a Mini Ducker for the School\u2019s Early Years pupils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017, a total of 1041 people participated in the charity run or walk \u2014 59 people ran the Long Ducker, 269 walked the Long Ducker and 689 walked the Short Ducker \u2014 and raised over HK$300,000 for the School\u2019s nominated charities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The run is followed up with a huge celebration at the School, showcasing the talents of our vibrant community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to welcoming you all to celebrate this Harrow tradition and further develop our charitable support to make a difference in Hong Kong and around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The countdown is on for the sixth edition of Harrow Hong Kong\u2019s annual Long Ducker event on Saturday 10 March 2018, which brings together the School community and raises funds for its pupil-nominated charities.
